How to check IT refund status: The Income Tax Department has so far issued tax refunds worth Rs 1.98 lakh crore to 1.95 crore taxpayers in the current financial year 2020-21. The department gave this information on Wednesday. Out of this, a tax refund of Rs 70,572 crore has been issued to 1.92 crore individual income tax payers, while a tax refund of Rs 1.27 lakh crore has been issued to 2.19 lakh corporate taxpayers. The Income Tax Department tweeted that the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued a refund of Rs 1,98,106 crore to 1.95 crore taxpayers during April 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021.

After clicking, go to the Income Tax Return page, click on ‘Income Tax Return’. After visiting the income tax return page, you will see that either your ITR has been processed or is pending for verification or verification.
- If it shows that your ITR has not been verified yet, with the help of your Aadhaar, you can request to verify again or sign the signed ITR-V form from the common post or speed post of the Indian Post Office. Send it to the tax CPC office.

- If you have not processed the ITR, then the taxpayer can file a complaint petition to the CPC or Assessing Officer. With the help of this petition, the taxpayer can request the tax department to speed up its ITR processing.
