Many times we get upset with our insurance companies, but we do not know much about the complaint. The policyholder can complain to his insurance company regarding many things, such as delay in settlement of claims, dispute over premium, misinterpretation of terms and conditions of the policy, etc. These complaints can be resolved by registering a complaint to the Grievance Redressal Officer of the branch. It is the responsibility of the insurance company to respond within 15 days to the complaint lodged in this way. If the insurance company is not able to settle the complaint within the stipulated time or does not provide satisfactory solution, then in such a situation the complainant can register his complaint in the Grievance Redressal Cell of Consumer Affairs Department of IRDAI. If you too have a complaint with your insurance company, here are some ways to file a complaint.
