Lucknow : In Uttar Pradesh, before the assembly elections to be held in the next few days, the Yogi government is arranging funds for popular schemes like providing 24 hours electricity to all, pension to farmers, elderly people, allowance to workers in the unorganized sector. (Yogi Government) has presented a supplementary budget. On Thursday, on the second day of the winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented a supplementary budget of Rs 8,479.53 crore. With this, a vote on account of Rs 168903 crore was presented in the assembly for the first four months of the financial year 2022-23. Due to the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections being held in the next two months, the Yogi government has presented vote on account for the first four months of the coming financial year from April to July. The supplementary budget and vote on account will be discussed and passed tomorrow.
At the beginning of the discussion in the assembly after the presentation of the supplementary budget and writings, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in his address that today every big investor of the country and abroad is willing to invest here and all development works are being done at a rapid pace. He said that Uttar Pradesh has succeeded in doubling the per capita income, while his government has got only three and a half years to work. The remaining 20 months passed in the Corona period itself.

The Chief Minister said that an investment of Rs 66000 crore has come in the state during the Corona period. Today the farmers have improved and record purchases are taking place at the minimum support price. Records are being made for government procurement of wheat, paddy, pulses, oilseeds. The Chief Minister said that people tried to mislead about his government and also spread a lot of propaganda, but the public reposed faith in us. Earlier, as soon as the proceedings of the second day of the house began, the opposition party protested fiercely. While Congress leaders staged a protest outside the assembly demanding price rise and the sacking of Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra Teni, the SP and Subhaspa protested inside the assembly. Thereafter the proceedings of the House were adjourned for half an hour.
Announcement to increase the amount of pension given to disabled, elderly, farmers
In the supplementary budget, the Yogi government has made a huge provision of Rs 4000 crore to give allowance to the workers of the unorganized sector of the state. Apart from this, the state government had recently announced to increase the amount of pension given to the disabled, elderly, farmers. In the supplementary budget, the state government has allocated Rs 670 crore for this. In the election year, the government has also allocated funds in the supplementary budget to provide 24-hour electricity to all the villages and cities of the state. In this item, the Yogi government has made a provision of giving 1000 crore rupees to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation. Along with this, a provision of Rs 185 crore has been made for the Saubhagya scheme to provide electricity connection to every household.
UP Gaurav Samman announced
On the lines of Yash Bharti of the previous Samajwadi government, the Yogi government, while announcing the UP Gaurav Samman, has allocated Rs 10 crore for it in the supplementary budget, while Rs 10 crore has been given for various awards in the sports department. An amount of Rs 150 crore has been allocated to the information department of the state government, while an amount of Rs 10 crore has been allocated for the construction of roads for Kashi Vishwanath and Ganga Darshan.
