On Friday, in the auditorium of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation Standing Committee, Commissioner Raja Dayanidhi announced the budget for 2022-23 in the presence of Accounts Officer Vikas Chavan, Deputy Commissioner and Public Relations Officer Yuvraj Bhadane. Presenting the budget, Municipal Commissioner Raja Dayanidhi said that the financial condition of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation is very dire, so the municipal administration and the public representatives of the Municipal Corporation will have to take some tough decisions to increase the revenue.
Standing Committee Chairman Deepak Shirwani said that property holders owe property tax of about Rs 500 crore to the Municipal Corporation, so as per the demand of the public representatives, the Abhay Yojana should be started at any cost, which will improve the financial condition of the Municipal Corporation. Shirwani said that the main source of income of the Municipal Corporation is the house tax.
