New Delhi/Mumbai. BMC has presented education budget of 3370.24 crores for the year 2022-23. In this regard, Education Department Chairman Sandhya Joshi presented the education budget. It is worth noting that BMC had kept an education budget of Rs 2945.78 crore for the year 2021-22. This year’s budget is now 3370.24 crores.

- BMC is teaching two lakh 42 thousand 899 students ,, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu, English, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages with the help of 6831 teachers. BMC has 964 primary schools across the city. Whereas in 243 secondary schools, education is being imparted to 48 thousand 209 students through 1383 teachers.
- BMC is providing education to 730 differently-abled children in 17 schools with the help of 81 teachers.
- In the Virtual Training Center, a provision has been made to spend about 26 crores for primary and 11 crores for secondary, a total of 37 crores.
- BMC will now spend a total of 28 crores for the digital class.
- A provision of about 18 lakhs has been made for self-defense training for women, online training to 4300 girls, road safety information to girl students from class 5th to 9th.
- A provision has been made to spend about 4 crores for BMC’s free bus facility.
- BMC has made a provision of spending Rs 419 crore to increase the schools in Mumbai and improve the quality of education. There are 467 schools in the city of BMC. In which many buildings are being renovated.
- The reconstruction work of some of these is expected to be completed by March 2022.
- Re-branding of BMC schools will be done in the name of Mumbai Public School. Which will have the logo of MPS. 326 schools of BMC will be re-branded, while 93 buildings will have the logo of MPS.
- At the same time, according to Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, the board exam of 10th and 12th will be off-line only.
