Nagpur. After declaring the date of the session of the Legislature to be held in Nagpur, the process of canceling it at the last moment and getting it done in Mumbai is going on for the last two years. The Mahavikas Aghadi government has continued the tradition of not taking the budget session starting from February 28 in Nagpur. This is the reason that now the discussion of the government’s negative view on Vidarbha is gaining momentum.
Under the Nagpur Agreement, it is mandatory to have a session of the Legislature in Nagpur, but the Mahavikas Aghadi government has been postponing it for two years in the name of Corona. The date of the convention is announced, the Legislature Secretariat also does the planning but as the date approaches, the government cancels it. This new tradition has been made since 2 years. The winter session to be held in 2021 was canceled at the last moment.
It was announced to take the budget session from February 28. For this, the Legislature Secretariat was going to start in the city from February 16. According to the information received from the sources, due to lack of space for the meeting of the Joint Auditorium in Nagpur Legislature, it is being said that the meeting will be held in Mumbai, but in view of the posture arrangement in the various galleries in the Nagpur Legislative Assembly building, the problem was resolved. May go. The ministers of Vidarbha included in the state cabinet are also sitting silent on this subject. Till now there has not been a convention in Nagpur 6 times. This includes the years 1962, 1963, 1979, 1985, 2020 and 2021.
government doing injustice
The first winter session was not held in Nagpur. Now even the proposed budget is not happening. This convention is also going to be held in Mumbai itself. This is a kind of injustice to Vidarbha by the government. The people of Vidarbha keep hoping that on the pretext of the convention, the government will come, but under the guise of Corona, injustice is being done to Vidarbha.- Abhijit Vanjari, MLA Congress
CM violating the rules
When Nagpur was made the sub-capital, it was decided that a session of the Legislature would be held every year in Nagpur, but CM Uddhav Thackeray is directly violating the rules. Illness is an excuse, in fact they do not want the real issues of Vidarbha to be discussed, resolved. It is the misfortune of the people of Vidarbha that there are 2 ministers in the cabinet of the government, but all have kept silence out of selfishness. He is afraid that his ministerial post may go away. Due to this the importance of the sub-capital is diminishing. The budget of 25 crores to be given to the capital’s capital has also been stopped. We oppose this injustice. -Krishna Khopde, MLA, BJP
Unethical alliance became canker
The immoral alliance running the state government has become a scourge for the people of Vidarbha. There should be one session in a year in the sub-capital Nagpur. But it is being postponed. CM Uddhav Thackeray fears that he will be asked sharp questions related to public interest. They will be exposed to the ground reality which they do not like. In the session to be held in Mumbai, they will make their own decisions. This is a direct betrayal of the people of Vidarbha. This injustice is happening since last 2 years. The public will take necessary revenge for this injustice. – Mohan Mate, MLA BJP
turned away from Vidarbha
According to the Nagpur Agreement, not only the convention but the entire government is expected to come to Vidarbha. Its purpose is to settle the questions of Vidarbha. But the convention has not been held for two years, despite this, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have turned their backs on Vidarbha. This mentality is opposed.- Dr. Ashish Deshmukh, Independent MLA
