Children Education Allowance: Government to provide education for three children

Under the 7th Pay Commission, there are many types of allowances for central government employees. It also includes the Children Education Allowance. It was renamed ‘Reimbursement of Tuition Fee’ by the Central Government in 1962, which was later changed to Children’s Education Allowance.

According to the rule, central employees receive Children’s Education Allowance for two children. However, if the second child is a twin, then the twins with the first child will also benefit. Apart from this, if the child is born as a result of the failure of the sterilization operation, it also gets its benefit.

How much do children get education allowance?

Central employees receive a fixed allowance of Rs 2250 per month in the form of Children’s Education Allowance. That is, for two children this amount will be Rs 4500 per month. How will you get the benefit?

Under 7th Pay Commission, every government employee can take advantage of this. For this, he has to give a certificate to the head of the school, who will have to file for an Allowance Claim in the office. The certificate must state that the child is a student of that institution and he studied there that year.

For this, along with the certificate of the head of the school, the employee must also attach a self-attested copy of the report card of the child and a fee receipt. The Children’s Fee Allowance formula was first implemented in the Sixth Pay Commission. To get this allowance, too many documents are not required.
