The Economic Survey will also be presented in the Lok Sabha after the President’s address.
Significantly, due to the third wave of Corona, the budget session of Parliament will start from today i.e. Monday with many restrictions. After this, the general budget will be presented on Tuesday. In this, except for the first two days, the proceedings of both the Houses of Parliament will run in two shifts.
The President will address both the houses today i.e. on Monday. From the next day, the proceedings of Lok Sabha will start from 4 pm to 9 pm and Rajya Sabha will start from 9 am. Today i.e. on Monday, the proceedings of Rajya Sabha will start at 2.30 pm. The Economic Survey will also be presented in both the houses today.
It is to be known that this time also all eyes will be on the general budget being presented on Tuesday. In this sequence, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the general budget in the Lok Sabha at 11 am. Significantly, this is the second consecutive budget which is going to be presented amidst the shadow of Corona on the economy.
