Budget 2022 at a Glance: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget for the next financial year i.e. 2022-23 today. Finance Minister Sitharaman presented a budget of Rs 39.44 lakh crore for the next financial year. In this, announcements were made to support the economy along with the details of the government’s earnings and expenditure. Schemes were also announced for the common people. In the budget, the budget was allocated for various ministries and departments, who would use it for various expenditure and schemes throughout the year. The maximum amount will be raised by borrowing
In the next financial year 2022-23, the government will earn the most from borrowings and other liabilities. It can account for 35 percent of its total earnings. GST is expected to account for 16 per cent of the total earnings in the next financial year. Below is the information about all the share of the government’s income-

- Corporation tax – 15%
- Income Tax – 15%

In the next financial year, the largest part of the entire earning of the government will be spent on paying interest. Below, information is being given about where the government’s earnings will be spent-

- States’ share of taxes and duties – 17 percent
- Central Schemes – 15%
- Finance commission and other transfer – 10 percent
- Center’s sponsored schemes – 9 percent
