Two New York City airports have been issued floor delays and floor stops by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as smoke from Canada’s wildfires poured into the town starting on Tuesday and worsening over Wednesday, June 7.
LaGuardia International Airport is at present beneath a floor cease by the FAA, to be completed by 10:59 p.m. on Wednesday. FlightConscious is reporting over 160 delays to and from the airport. New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport just isn’t at present beneath a floor cease or floor delay, although FlightConscious is reporting 76 delays and 6 cancellations on the airport at present.
