World Hearing Day is celebrated every year on 03rd March. On this day, this day is celebrated all over the world with the aim of making people aware to avoid the problems of deafness etc.
‘World Hearing Day’ was first celebrated across the world by ‘International Ear Care Day’ in the year 2007. The World Health Organization (WHO) has created a variety of events related to the specific topic at the international and national level.
Hearing loss or deafness is a condition where a person loses his hearing. The disease is also caused by genetics, complications at birth, certain infectious diseases, long-term ear infections, use of autotoxic drugs, and excessive noise and aging.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, 5% of the world’s population has partial or complete loss of hearing. People above 65 years of age are suffering from this disease. According to the report, most of this disease is in South Asia, Asia Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa regions.
The main causes of hearing loss are aging, loud noises, heredity, harmful or prescribed drugs, alcohol or tobacco, ear infections, injuries, high blood pressure or diabetes, drinking or smoking.
There is a huge population of hearing impaired youth in the country, which also affects their physical and economic health very badly. According to doctors, timely diagnosis and treatment of deafness is very important. With proper support at an early stage of his life, a child can overcome his deficit and learn to speak and talk faster. This also gives him an opportunity to become a part of the mainstream of the society.
