The Sandbox posted the official confirmation of the deal on its Medium handle.
Suresh Balaji, Chief Marketing Officer, HSBC for Asia-Pacific, said, “Through Metaverse, people will experience the next generation of the Internet, Web 3, using technologies such as AR, Virtual Reality (VR) and Extended Reality. With The Sandbox Through our partnership, we are making our debut in the metaverse.”
Sandbox is a gaming virtual world, built on the Ethereum blockchain. It also supports minting, usage and selling of Non-Funable Tokens (NFTs) as a means of earning gamers on the platform.
For the in-game economy, the company has also issued its native token named SAND, each of which is currently priced at $3.15 (approximately Rs.239) on CoinMarketCap.
Several big brands have partnered with The Sandbox to promote their virtual world debut.
A few other brands including The Warner Music Group (WMG), Gucci, Adidas, and CryptoKitties are already part of the Metaverse with Sandbox.<!–
