In the financial year 2021-22 also, TCS will recruit 40 thousand fresh graduates from the campus.
‘Corona restrictions have no effect on hiring’
He said that the COVID-19 restrictions will not have any effect on the hiring. Last year, 3.60 lakh graduates appeared in the interview virtually. New recruitments may take up to three months
Lakkar said that there is a lot of planning for recruitment from the college campus. When business deals are signed, there is no immediate recruitment. It takes some time. From the start of the recruitment process, it takes more than three months for a candidate to join a project. The company’s COO N Ganapathy Subramaniam says that there is no problem in the supply of talent in India. The company is also not worried about its rising costs.
Lakkar said that at present the attrition rate is eight per cent, which is very low. After COVID, if the situation becomes normal, it can go up to 12 percent which is normal. Even if the attrition rate remains high, the company’s operating model is such that it will not affect its performance and margins.
