The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), UNICEF and YuWaah have introduced a collaboration to make twenty-first century expertise accessible to highschool college students, based on officers. In continuation of the continuing collaborations on life expertise, CBSE, UNICEF and YuWaah goal to work collectively on profession steering in addition to enabling entry and engagement of scholars in volunteering alternatives. An announcement of intent was signed to mutually agree on the areas of collaboration and key milestones therein, the officers stated.
“The National Education Policy (NEP) has laid a lot of stress on moving from rote learning to skilling. It also recommends instilling skills in students, right from the school level. Passport to Earning is one of the initiatives supported by the board towards achieving this goal. In time, we may explore integrating P2E with the Skill Hubs Initiative of the Centre government,” Nidhi Chibber, CBSE chairperson stated.
According to the officers, the assembly additionally marked settlement on the roll-out of the Passport to Earning (P2E) initiative for CBSE college students, whereby they shall be upskilled with key twenty first century expertise mapped to CBSE’s employability expertise curriculum. Based on the pilot, the initiative goals to be scaled to achieve all college students, together with scaling instructor coaching and capability constructing.
The P2E initiative is a part of a multi-stakeholder, international partnership between UNICEF, Generation Unlimited, Microsoft and Accenture. Capgemini is a key accomplice in enabling the scaling of this e-learning resolution in India.
