One out of every four smartphone users in metro and tier-1 cities have to go to the service center within six months of purchasing the phone, while they spend an average of Rs 2,400 on fixing their out of warranty handset. This has been revealed in the study of research firm Counterpoint. The study is based on a consumer survey. It has been found that the highest number of customers of Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo and Samsung are satisfied with their after sales service.
The survey questioned one thousand customers who have completed their service by visiting authorized service centers in cities like Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Noida, Kolkata.
Vivo and Samsung replace after Oppo
In this, Oppo topped the number of satisfied customers. 93 percent of the customers called the company’s service excellent or very good. After this, Vivo and Samsung with 83 percent are with 81 percent users. Oppo is also at the top in terms of fastest service, in which 73 percent of customers said that they got their phones on the same day that they filed a complaint. The second place is Reality, in which 72 percent customers got their phones on the same day. Vivo comes third in this case.

Waiting time for service is also lowest in OPPO
Waiting time is short for Oppo’s customer service. 50 percent of the customers claimed that they were called within 15 minutes of reaching the service center. Realme, Samsung and Xiaomi come next in terms of customers’ waiting time. It has also been found in the survey that OPPO has the best standard in terms of fixing the phone and spare parts are kept ready in it, which is not so in its rival companies.
