In the 44th meeting of Reliance AGM 2021, Mukesh Ambani has disclosed the Jio phone. The name of this phone is Jio Phone Next. He said that to make rural areas free from 2G, an ultra affordable phone is needed. Last year I spoke to Sundar Pichai of Google about this matter. The name of this phone will be Jio Phone Next. It will support Google and Jio apps. The Android operating system will be used in Jio Phone Next, which has been made jointly by Google and Reliance. This smartphone will get voice assistant, automatic read-aloud off-screen text, language translation, smart camera with augmented reality filters and other features.
The phone, which is powered by a “highly optimized Android” operating system, will first launch in India this September and will eventually be made available outside the country. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said in its annual general meeting on Thursday that Jio Platforms, which serves 425 million customers, is in a position to add another 200 million in the next few years.
Ambani said that the JioPhone Next will be the “most affordable smartphone” globally, although he did not reveal the price. Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that the company has also entered into a 5G cloud partnership with Jio Platforms.

Last year, Reliance Jio announced a partnership with Google. Google CEO Sundar Pichai said about the new smartphone, “Our next step begins with a new, affordable Jio smartphone in collaboration with Google and Jio. Chairman Mukesh Ambani said, “We are working with global partners to develop the 5G ecosystem and develop a range of 5G devices. Jio is working not only to make India 2G free, but also 5G enabled.
Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Jio has become the world’s second network in terms of data consumption. 630 million GB data is consumed per month on Reliance Jio’s network. This is 45 percent more than last year.
Although the prices of JioPhone-Next have not been disclosed, experts believe that its price will be kept very low. Jio-Google’s Android-based smartphone JioPhone-Next will prove to be a game changer. It can change the lives of 300 million people who still have 2G mobile sets in their hands. On the basis of fast speed, good operating system and affordable price, the new smartphone of Jio-Google can fill Reliance Jio’s bag with crores of new customers.
