Ola has announced to build the world’s largest two-wheeler charging network in India. Under the Ola Hypercharger network, more than 1 lakh charging points will be created in more than 400 cities across the country. Ola also claims that electric scooters will be charged 50 percent in just 18 minutes at these charging points and they will be able to go up to 75 km. Under Ola’s plan, automated, multilevel charging and parking systems are to be built. Ola is making this arrangement for its upcoming electric scooter which is planned to be launched in July.

Plan to establish 5 thousand charging points in the first year
According to the information provided by Ola, in the first year, more than 5000 charging points will be installed in 100 cities across the country, which is currently double the charging infrastructure present in the country. According to the information given by the company, Ola Hyperchargers will be made in cities, city centers and business districts across the country. Apart from this, it is also planned to be set up in malls, IT parks, office complexes and cafes. The Ola scooter will be accompanied by a home charger that will not require any installation and customers will just have to plug it into their car and plug the plug into a regular wall socket for charging.
The first electric scooter factory was established in 2400 crores
Last year in 2020, Ola announced the setup of a factory for its first electric scooter in Tamil Nadu with an investment of 2400 crores. After completion, this factory will provide employment to about 10 thousand people and it will be the largest scooter manufacturing facility in the world, which will initially have a capacity of 2 million units. According to information given by Ola chairman and group CEO Bhavesh Agarwal, the factory will be operational by June and sales will start from July.
