Mcap of Top 10 Firms: The market cap of nine out of the top 10 companies of the Sensex came down by more than three lakh crore rupees last week. The market cap of nine of the top 10 companies has declined by Rs 3,09,178.44 crore amid heavy selling in the stock markets. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex lost 1,836.95 points or 3.11 percent. During this period, the market cap of only State Bank of India (SBI) has increased in the list of top 10 companies. During this, the market cap of Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC, Bajaj Finance and Bharti Airtel declined.

- During the week, SBI’s market position rose by Rs 18,340.07 crore to Rs 4,67,069.54 crore.
- The market capitalization of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 96,512.22 crore to Rs 15,79,779.47 crore. Reliance Industries was the biggest loser. The market valuation of TCS fell to Rs 13,65,042.43 crore with a loss of Rs 53,488.29 crore.
- The market position of Infosys declined by Rs 42,392.63 crore to Rs 7,08,751.77 crore and that of HDFC Bank at Rs 8,11,061.12 crore with a loss of Rs 31,815.01 crore.
- The market valuation of Bajaj Finance declined by Rs 30,333.64 crore to Rs 4,14,699.49 crore and that of ICICI Bank declined by Rs 16,291.53 crore to Rs 5,42,407.86 crore.
- The market valuation of Bharti Airtel declined by Rs 15,814.77 crore to Rs 3,93,174.23 crore.
- HDFC’s market position declined by Rs 13,319.96 crore to Rs 4,56,102.42 crore and Hindustan Unilever by Rs 9,210.39 crore to Rs 5,36,411.69 crore.

Reliance Industries remained in the first place in the list of top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, SBI, HDFC, Bajaj Finance and Bharti Airtel respectively.
