Talking about the last trading day of the financial year till 2 pm on March 31, the Sensex has given 18.50 percent return in 1 year. The index has gained 9150 points during this period. On the other hand, Nifty gave a return of 19 percent during this period and the index has strengthened by 2800 points. Talking about the broader market, the BSE500 index gained 21 percent and it gained 4133 points. The Midcap index has gained 19.5 per cent or 3925 points, while the Smallcap index has gained 37 per cent or 7630 points.

In the financial year 2022, Bank Nifty has gained about 10 percent or 3135 points. The Nifty IT index gained 41 per cent or 3925 points during this period. The BSE IT index has also gained 38 per cent. Realty index rose 37 percent, power index 63 percent, utilities index 60 percent and energy index 42 percent.
