Mumbai: Renowned industrialist Rahul Bajaj, who was awarded Padma Bhushan, was cremated today with full state honors at the Vainkuth crematorium in Pune. He passed away yesterday at the age of 83 in Pune. He was suffering from cancer. Many eminent people, leaders and common people of the country including Maharashtra have mourned his death.
Earlier, the body of Rahul Bajaj was brought to his residence in Pimpri-Chinchwad. NCP president and Bajaj’s friend Sharad Pawar was also present at that time. When Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray reached Pune, he also bid a final farewell to Bajaj. The workers also paid tribute to Rahul Bajaj. During this, a large number of workers had arrived.
