The places of 52 Wilko shops that can shut after failing to safe a rescue deal have been revealed by directors.
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), which was appointed to supervise the insolvency final month, mentioned it stays in talks with events serious about shopping for the remaining elements of the enterprise.
On Tuesday, rival retailer B&M purchased as much as 51 different Wilko shops in a deal price as much as £13m.
Administrators added “it is possible that further store closures may regrettably be necessary”, relying on talks with remaining suitors.
Team members working on the shops affected will likely be made redundant.
Edward Williams, joint administrator, mentioned: “In the absence of viable offers for the whole business, very sadly store closures and redundancies of team members from those stores are now necessary.
“The lack of these shops will likely be felt not solely by the workforce members who served them with such dedication, together with by the uncertainty of latest weeks, but in addition the communities which they’ve been part of.”
