News agency PTI quoted officials as saying that after considering the situation due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the competent authority has now extended the last date for paying the cost of flats (interest free) to 31. Decided to do Aug.

The extension of the last date, however, is subject to the condition that the amount demanded is paid within this extended period, the DDA said, otherwise, the benefit of extension will not be admissible to the allottees. The 2021 housing scheme was launched on January 2. With 1,354 flats on offer, applications were accepted till February 16. These flats under different categories are located at Dwarka, Jasola, Mangalapuri, Vasant Kunj and Rohini.
Among the 1,354 flats to be allotted under this housing scheme, the costliest flat is Rs 2.14 crore in the high income group. At the same time, the number of flats in the middle income group category is 757. The number of flats is 254 in the high income group, 52 in the low income group and 291 in the economically weaker (EWS) / public category.
A total of 22,752 applications were received for 253 HIG, 757 MIG, 52 LIG and 291 EWS or Janata flats, the DDA said.

On March 10, the DDA had allotted 1,353 flats to the people through an online draw. Earlier, the housing scheme was organized by DDA in March 2019. In this 18000 flats were offered. There were 488 (HIG), 1555 (MIG), 8383 (LIG) and 7496 (EWS) flats in that scheme.
