Stock Market Shut Today: On Wednesday, April 21, the stock market will be closed on the occasion of Ram Navami. Today there will be no trading on BSE and NSE. Ram Navami is considered an important festival for the people of Hinduism. This day is celebrated on the ninth day in the month of Chaitra, which is the first month in the Hindu lunar calendar. Today the stock market, inter-bank foreign exchange market and derivatives market will remain closed. The commodity market will not be traded in the morning session, but will be traded in the evening session.
Earlier on 2 April, on Good Friday and 14 April, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti was also closed on the stock market. Trading will resume normally on the stock market on 22 April. Now on 13 May, the stock markets will be closed on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
Stock market situation on tuesday
Earlier on Tuesday, the domestic stock market closed in the red mark after losing its full lead amid mixed global signals. At the end of the trade, the Sensex lost about 244 points and closed at the level of 47708. At the same time, the Nifty has fallen by close to 63 points and it closed at the level of 14296. Earlier on Monday, the stock market saw a huge decline due to fear of Corona virus. On Tuesday, there was a good buy in pharma stocks, while there was a sell-off in IT stocks. Bank and financial stocks were also under pressure.
In Tuesday’s business, a mixed action was seen in largecap stocks. 14 stocks of Sensex 30 rose, while 16 closed in the red mark. The list of top gainers included Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Dr Reddy’s, Bajaj Auto, Maruti, M&M, L&T and Powergrid. At the same time, the top losers included Ultratech Cement, HCL Tech, HDFC, Tech Mahindra, HDFC Bank, HUL and ITC.
