Deposit premium by 31 August
The Agriculture Minister said that due to Corona infection, the farmers were having difficulty in depositing the premium for the crop insurance scheme. In view of this, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan decided to extend the date of depositing premium from August 17 to August 31 in the interest of farmers. Farmers can deposit the premium of crop insurance scheme till this date.
Agro-climatic zone
Giving information, Patel said that applications have been sought from insurance companies by dividing the state into 11 clusters based on agro-climatic zones to provide benefits to the farmers. The earlier government of the state had increased the risk coverage, scale of finance to 75 percent, which has been increased to 100 percent. This will cover the additional risk of Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 1,500 crore for the farmers.
