Desperately looking for relevance and stature after her failed presidential bid, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren is flailing away at Republicans, Elon Musk, and even her fellow Democrats in a whirlwind publicity-seeking blitz.
It’s unclear what Warren’s final purpose is – presumably one other White House run or to extend her misplaced clout within the Senate.
Warren’s marketing campaign, which features a spherical of morning TV reveals and nationwide media interviews, has her aggressively taking over the Democratic Party, arguing it must cross significant laws like canceling pupil mortgage debt to keep away from a whitewash within the midterm election.
“My job right now is to light the fire of urgency. We can’t waste a single day,” Warren mentioned in a Politico interview.
“We’ve got 200 days. If we don’t deliver, if we don’t get up off our rear ends and make it happen, we’re in real trouble,” she mentioned.
And in a New York Times op-ed, she wrote that Democrats are “headed toward big losses in the midterms” in the event that they don’t act.
Gee, you suppose?
She additionally restarted her Twitter feud with Musk after his $44 billion buy of the social media platform, calling the deal “dangerous for our democracy.”
“Billionaires like Elon Musk play by a different set of rules than everyone else, accumulating power for their own gain,” Warren wrote.
And she couldn’t even resist throwing a punch at House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy after audio surfaced of him saying he wished President Trump to resign after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. She known as McCarthy a “liar and a traitor.”
But does anybody care anymore about Warren’s rantings? She has been marginalized by extra reasonable forces within the celebration that don’t need the celebration turning too far left.
More importantly, she misplaced all credibility within the celebration when she was drummed out of the 2020 presidential race by Democratic voters. She couldn’t even crack the highest finishers in neighboring New Hampshire, after which suffered a humiliating defeat in her residence state of Massachusetts.
Polls confirmed that even in Massachusetts Democrats didn’t need to see her run for president. They need her to concentrate to working for her constituents in locations like Fall River and Springfield. Maybe attempt pressuring Democrats within the Massachusetts Legislature to cross tax reduction for the center class?
But no, Warren continues to beat the nationwide drum, seemingly oblivious to the needs of residence state voters. Instead she pushes for canceling pupil mortgage debt, a measure that will solely favor comparatively privileged school college students, and taking over the richest man on the earth.
That’s a successful technique for Dems?
Warren is simply as clueless as President Biden and celebration leaders like Nancy Pelosi about easy methods to flip across the Democrats’ fortunes.
