Triumph Motorcycles has launched its all new bike Tiger Sport 660 in India. This bike has been launched with a starting price of Rs 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Tiger Sport 660 bike was introduced globally in October last year. Pre-booking for it in India started in December 2021, although its launch got delayed. The new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is the smallest and most affordable Tiger bike in the company’s India lineup. As the name suggests, the Tiger Sport 660 is a premium adventure bike, which is based on the company’s existing Trident 660 naked street fighter bike. Both the motorcycles have a lot in common, however, the Tiger 660 gets a different sub-frame and long-travel suspension.

Design and Features
In terms of design, it gets a muscular front fascia with twin sharp LED headlamps and a tall visor. The company is offering it in three dual-tone colors, which include Lucerne Blue with Sapphire Black, Korosi Red with Graphite and Graphite with Black. It gets a massive 17-litre fuel tank, single piece seat and stubby exhaust. In terms of features, the Tiger 660 gets a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster, two riding modes – road and rain, switchable traction control, dual-channel ABS and an optional bi-directional quick-shifter.

The new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is powered by the same 660cc, liquid-cooled, inline-3 cylinder engine as the Trident 660. This motor generates power of 80 hp at 10,250 RPM and peak torque of 64 Nm at 6,250 RPM. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The company is also giving a warranty of 2 years / unlimited km with this motorcycle. The new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 will compete with bikes like Kawasaki Versys 650, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT.
