Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed about the launch of its new SUV Mahindra XUV700. This is an updated version of the company’s popular mid-size SUV XUV500 and the company has also created a webpage on its website. With this, the company has now revealed the date of its launch and the company is going to launch the Mahindra XUV700 in India in October 2021.

This SUV will come with a completely new design
Mahindra will offer the XUV700 with a completely new styling, although some things will be similar to the XUV500. It will get a new grille, new C-shaped headlight with unique LED DRLs, new taillight, new alloy wheel design, and restored bonnet, bumpers and tailgate. Apart from this, changes will also be made to its door handles and it will get flush mountel levers which will give it a more modern look.
Mahindra XUV700 will be equipped with many fun features
To make a great presence in its segment, the company is adding many amazing features to it, in which a dual screen layout will be available, one for infotainment and the other for the instrument cluster. Such features are available in Mercedes models. Along with this, it will get features like Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, automatic climate control, electronic parking brake, hill hold (for automatic variants), different drive modes and panoramic sunroof. It will be offered in two layouts of 6 and 7 seats.
If you talk about safety features, then the level 2 Autonomous Driving Assist Systems (ADAS) will be available in its high trims, which will come for the first time in this segment. With ADAS, you will get features like Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane-Keeping Assist.
This SUV will be bigger than Mahindra XUV500
If we talk about the dimensions, the new XUV700 will get a longer wheelbase and it will be bigger than the current XUV500. The company has done a lot of work on its chassis and has made it bigger and has also improved its driving experience. Due to its long wheelbase and wide body, you will be able to get larger cabin space, in which the passengers with second and third row will be the biggest beneficiaries.
Both diesel and petrol engine options will be launched
Mahindra XUV will be launched with both diesel and petrol engine options. In this, the diesel engine will come with an all new 2.2 liter, four-cylinder mHawk unit which will generate power of 185hp. Apart from this, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder mFalcon, turbo-petrol engine will be available which generates power of 190hp. Both these engines have already been seen in the second generation Thar. With this, it will get a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed Aisin-derived torque-converter automatic gearbox.
These SUVs will compete with Mahindra XUV700
Mahindra’s SUV will compete with MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar. Let me tell you that Mahindra will temporarily stop the XUV500 after the arrival of the XUV700.
