TATA Motors results for June quarter, loss halved while revenue doubled

Net loss reduced to 4450 crores.

TATA Motors result: Tata Motors has announced the results for the June quarter. Domestic automaker Tata Motors’ consolidated net loss in the first quarter of April-June of the current financial year 2021-22 has come down to Rs 4,450.12 crore. A year ago, in the same quarter of 2020-21, the company had a consolidated net loss of Rs 8,443.98 crore.

In the information sent to the stock exchange, the company said that its consolidated operating income during the quarter stood at Rs 66,406.05 crore in June, as against Rs 31,983.06 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2020-21 a year ago. The company’s British arm Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reported revenue of £5 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal, up 73.7 per cent from the same quarter of 2020-21 a year ago. JLR suffered a loss of £11 million before tax.

Standalone loss also halved

On a standalone basis, Tata Motors reported a net loss of Rs 1,330.74 crore in the quarter under review. A year ago, in the first quarter of 2020-21, the company had a loss of Rs 2,190.64 crore on a standalone basis. The company’s operating income on a standalone basis stood at Rs 11,904.19 crore for the quarter ended June, 2021 as against Rs 2,686.87 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2020-21 a year ago.

Tata HBX to be launched on August 4

Tata Motors may soon introduce its new car Tata HBX in India. According to the reports, this car can be presented on August 4. Although the company has not yet disclosed the name of this car. It is believed that it could be named HBX Mini SUV. The Hornbill will be the company’s smallest SUV and the design of this 5 seater, sub 4 meter model has been taken from Tata’s flagship SUV Harrier and Safari. Before the launch of this SUV, sources had informed that the production of this car has started and it is ready to be dispatched to the dealers.
