New Delhi: Japanese tech giant Sony launched the Vision-S02 Electric SUV in ces 2022. It also announced that a dedicated dynamic company would be set up to take forward Sony’s electric vehicle development plans. The Vision-S 02 is an SUV-body variant developed from the Vision-S saloon prototype. Sony Mobility Inc. is the name that will be responsible for the development and marketing of upcoming Sony vehicles.
Vision-S02 is a big car with 7 seats. Following the design of its earlier model, there is a gusset grille along the front, which is surrounded by air-scoops that propel the wheels. The headlamps are leaf-shaped and are separated by a wide LED DRL stripe that carries the Sony Mobility logo in the middle; There are no side mirrors, just Sony’s CMOS sensors to help you navigate the streets. It has a comfortable SUV stance with a curved sloping roof, which is in the fastback style. The car is 4.9 meters long and is made of 20-inch alloy metals.
Sony’s expertise in screens comes in handy, as they have fitted the dash not with a couple but with three displays inside a single slab, additional screens can be found on the seats for the rear passengers. The center console also has a screen to access various functions, the rest of the cabin is clean and minimalistic. Sony has also used its prowess in audio technologies and the speakers embedded inside the seats to deliver a 3D-surround experience.
