Toyota Kirloskar India Motor (TKM) has announced a price hike today on Wednesday (December 15). The company has said today that due to the increase in input costs, it has been decided to increase the prices of the entire product portfolio from January 2022 next month i.e. all Toyota cars will become expensive from next month. The company sells Glanza, Urban Cruiser, Innova Crysta and Fortuner in the Indian market.

Toyota Kirloskar said in its statement that the decision to increase prices had to be taken due to increase in input cost including raw materials. However, the company said that its best efforts are being made to ensure that its impact on the customers is minimal. Before Toyota, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Honda Cars have already announced a price hike from next month. The prices of essential commodities like steel, copper, aluminum and other precious metals have risen sharply in the last one year.

Sales up 53 percent in November
Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold 13003 vehicles in November 2021 last month. This is 53 percent more than the same period last year i.e. November 2020. Last year in November 2020, the company sold 8508 units. If compared to the sales in October 2021, then the company sold 5 percent more vehicles last month.
