Ola’s according toThe payment process will be digital and will be completed through the Ola app. The company has said that the delivery of new orders of Ola S1 Pro will start from April 2022. These will be delivered at the doorstep of the customers. The Ola S1 Pro is being manufactured at the company’s Ola Future factory located in Tamil Nadu. To meet the demand of the customers, the company is accelerating the production of S1 Pro.
The Ola S1 and Ola S1 were launched in two configurations. There is a 2.98 kWh battery on the vanilla Ola S1 and 3.97 kWh battery on the Ola S1 Pro. The Ola S1 is claimed to have a range of 121 km and a top speed of 90 kmph. On the other hand, the Ola S1 Pro is said to have a range of 181 km and a top speed of 115 kmph. The vanilla Ola S1 gets two riding modes namely Normal and Sports while the Ola S1 Pro gets Normal, Sports and Hyper riding modes.
They also get a 7-inch touchscreen display with multiple microphones, AI speech recognition algorithm, and run on Ola Electric’s MoveOS. The Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters also get a bundle of safety features which include an anti-theft system, geo-fencing and a flame-retardant battery that is also water and dust resistant.
The company also plans to set up a battery cell manufacturing plant in India with a capacity of 50 gigawatt hours (GWh). Ola itself also wants to invest in companies that are working on advanced cell and battery technology. It will also set up a battery research and development facility in India. Currently, the company imports its battery cells from South Korea.
