In the latest incident, a Bengaluru-based Twitter user (@Themangofellow) posted Told That his one week old Ola S1 Pro electric scooter automatically switched to reverse mode. The incident took place when the user was pulling his scooter backwards on the road due to a car parked in the middle. The user said that when he accelerated, the scooter automatically went in the opposite direction.
Suddenly going into reverse mode and increasing the speed on its own, the scooter lost its balance. The user said that it caused some scratches on his body as well as the scooter. However, he said that he did not suffer any serious injuries.
Following the incident, the user tried to contact Ola Electric Roadside Assistance and sent his scooter for repair. However, even after waiting 48 hours, he did not get any such support. After this, the user called the service again, but the scooter was taken two days after his call.
The scooter was delivered back a week later, although the user said it was not in good shape. The company later claimed that it had resolved the issue, but the user said that he could not believe the scooter again due to the incident.
He later posted an update on Twitter. Post While stating that a regional service head of Ola called him to confirm that the issue was resolved.
At the moment it is not clear whether the problem is limited to a particular Ola S1 Pro unit.
