Minda Corporation has announced Spark Minda’s partnership with Israel-based Ride Vision to bring a series of CAT (Collision Avoidance Technology) products equipped with Artificial Intelligence to the Indian two-wheeler market.
Ride Vision works on Advanced Driver Assistance Safety (ADAS) technology. At the moment, it is not clear which two-wheeler manufacturer will first adopt which technology on their vehicles. Ride Vision says that it plans to introduce the first localized Collision Avoidance package that meets the requirement of the Indian market.
Focus will be on new technology and changes
Talking about the partnership, Ashok Minda, President and GCEO of Minda Corporation said, “We are very happy to partner with Ride Vision to introduce technology that can save the lives of 2-wheeler riders and central road transport and To achieve the objective of zero road accident determined by the Highways Minister by 2030. Spark Minda is committed to offering the latest products, technologies and solutions to increase human safety. Going forward, we will focus on introducing new products, electronic, light weighting, active safety, electric mobility space organic and inorganic technologies and system solutions. ”
Motorbike riders will be safe on the roads
Uri Lavi, CEO and Co-Founder of Ride Vision said, “We are excited to partner with Spark Minda, an Indian Tier-1 company. Motorbike riders in India will be safe on the roads, as through this partnership with Spinda Minda we will introduce the first local ride vision collision product to fit the needs and budget of the Indian market.
Collision Avoidance Technology package will bring many electronic security aids including forward collision alert, distance keeping alert, blind spot alert, dangerous overtake alert, auto video recording. This technology is already seen on many premium cars and will definitely prove to be effective on two-wheelers as well. Ride Vision has designed its Collision technology to meet the challenges on Indian roads for two- and three-wheelers.
