The new Maruti S-Cross was first introduced at Auto Expo 2020 and since then its launch has been delayed due to the Corona lockdown. It has now been confirmed that the new Maruti S-Cross Petrol is to be launched soon this month.
The diesel variant of the Maruti S-Cross is being discontinued and is being brought with a 1.5-liter petrol engine. The company is also going to offer a hybrid option in it, the new S-Cross will be given the option of smart hybrid technology with both manual and automatic gearboxes.

The new Maruti S-Cross is to be brought in 7 variants and 5 color options. There are four trim options including Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, the automatic option will be given in the top 3 variants. It has a 1.5 liter petrol engine that provides 103 Bhp of power and 138 Newton meter of torque.
It is mated to a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox. In terms of features, the new S-Cross will feature Maruti’s SmartPlay Studio, front two airbags, climate control, height adjustment for driver seat, leather upholstery and color MID for the first time.

Booking of the new Maruti S-Cross has been started, the company sells it through the Nexa dealer network. It can be booked at over 370 NEXA dealerships in the country or by giving an advance amount of Rs 11,000 on the company’s website.
Apart from the engine, no major changes have been made, its design and features will be kept the same as the diesel model. Talk about the color option, Maruti S-Cross will be made available in five colour options, Blue, Brown, Gray, White and Silver.

The Maruti S-Cross can be launched at an initial price of Rs 8 lakh, it will be competing with models like Hyundai Creta, Kiya Celtos, Nissan Kicks and Renault Duster after its launch in the Indian market.
