Mini has launched the Cooper SE electric car in India at a price of Rs 47.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The car will be sold in White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Gray and British Racing Green color options. As we mentioned, it is imported as CBU, so the company will provide only 30 units in the first batch. Only one variant of the car has been launched, which is the fully-loaded variant. The deliveries of the first batch will start from March, and at the same time the company will also start taking bookings for the next batch.
The facelift version of the Cooper SE has been launched in India. The round LED headlamps and Union Jack-themed LED tail-lamps have been retained in the design. However, the facelift gets a bigger front grille, and changes are also seen in the front and rear bumpers. This model comes with 17-inch wheels.
The electric motor of the Cooper SE generates 184hp power and 270Nm of torque, and has a top speed of 150 kmph. Mini claims that the car can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 7.3 seconds. It gets a 32.6kWh battery pack, which can run the car 270 km (WLTP certified) on a full charge. The car gets four drive modes, which include Mid, Sport, Green and Green+.
The Cooper SE comes with 50kW fast charging support, thanks to which the battery pack is charged 0-80 percent in 36 minutes. However, with a standard wall charger of 11kW, this pack will take 150-210 minutes to charge from 0-80 percent.<!–
