The MG ZS Petrol was first introduced at Auto Expo 2020 in which the company did not disclose any plans to bring this SUV to the Indian market. However, now ZS Petrol has been seen testing, due to which information about the plan to launch it is coming out.
It was also reported some time ago that work is on to launch MG ZS Petrol in India and it may be launched next year. MG Motor is currently looking to enter all the UV segments of the country and wants to bring a vehicle in the mid-size SUV segment in the Indian market and a price range of Rs 9-15 lakh and ZS has been selected for this.

This car is currently being sold in the international market. There it was made available with 1.5 liter petrol and 1.3 turbo petrol engines. Both these engines are available in China as standard. In Thailand, this SUV is available with a 1.5 liter petrol engine.
The MG ZS gets a sharp projector headlamp, day-time-running light, gloss black front grille and LED tail lamp. The MG ZS also gets new dual tone sporty alloy wheels. This can be seen in the pictures surfaced.

In terms of features, safety features such as cruise control, EBD with ABS, front, side and rear airbags, hill assist have been given. The ZS also offers front and rear power windows, a 6-speaker sound system, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Along with this, roof rails are also available in the testing model. The MG ZS is slightly smaller in size than the competitors in its segment but has enough space. It is going to compete with models like Hyundai Creta, Kiya Celtos, Maruti S-Cross Petrol in the Indian market.

With the introduction of this model, MG Motor’s lineup in the Indian market will get even better. Recently, after bringing Hector Plus, the company is now preparing to bring a big SUV Gloster which is seen doing continuous testing.
