MG Motor India on Friday said that it will increase the prices of vehicles by 3 percent from January. According to the company, this is being done to deal with the bad impact of the cost of input. The company also said that it will also offer a seven-seater version of its Hector Plus model next month.
New prices will be applicable from 1 January 2021
In a statement, MG Motor India said that it will change the prices across its range of products in view of different price increases. The price hike will go up to 3 percent. The increase will depend on the model and will be applicable from 1 January 2021. MG Motor India currently sells three models in India, including Hector, ZS EV and Gloster. Their price is between Rs 12.83 lakh and 35.6 lakh.
Earlier, other automobile companies such as Maruti Suzuki India, Ford India, Mahindra & Mahindra and Hero MotoCorp have said that they will also increase the prices of their vehicles, so as to reduce the bouquet effect of rising costs. Especially the prices of raw materials and commodities have increased.

Hector Plus model in six seater version right now
The Hector Plus model is currently available in a six-seater version, with Captain seats. The seven seater version will further expand the portfolio of Hector SUV models. The MG Hector is available in both petrol and diesel options, with a 48V hybrid option as well. The petrol version also comes with DCT (dual clutch transmission).
Explain that the company has made this announcement at a time when it made record sales last month. The company sold 4163 units last month, a 28.5 percent increase over November last year. This is the highest ever retail sales figure for the company. This company is owned by SAIC Motor Corporation of China. This includes the sale of 3426 units of Hector, 627 units of Gloster and 110 units of ZS EV.
