Maruti’s Gurugram plant is spread over 300 acres, although the company is finding it difficult to operate in such a space as the city grows. About 15,000 people get direct and indirect employment from this plant.

Maruti has been talking to the government to increase the plant for the last one year. The company is looking at space in the range of 700 – 1000 acres and is considering the option given by the government. Shifting from this plant of the company cannot be avoided.

Maruti said that he is going to shift to a big place. Along with this, the movement of heavy vehicles due to the plant is always a headache for the Gurugram administration, due to being in the urban area, the plant has to follow many rules.

Out of these three places, the government had provided 1300 acres in Sohna, but in the test of soil it was found that the water level of the land is very high, which is not good according to the plant. At the same time, enough space is available in Kharkhoda.

Talk about Manesar, the company opened its plant here in 2007 and there is a lot of space available next to it, the plot is about 600 acres. The company may take a decision in the coming months and start opening a new plant soon.
