Maruti’s WagonR
Maruti remains at the top, overtaking premium hatchbacks like the WagonR, Baleno and Swift. In April, Maruti sold a total of 18,656 units of WagonR. However, it is less than the 18,757 units sold in March.
Maruti Swift
Maruti Swift has been the best-selling company for the Indian carmaker for some time now. However, in April this year, Swift sales have come down by about 2,600 units as compared to March 2021. In April, Maruti sold a total of 18,316 units of this car, compared to 21,714 units sold in the month of March.
Maruti Alto
Maruti Alto’s name comes at number three on the list. In April, Maruti sold a total of 17,303 units of this car, compared to 17,401 units sold in the month of March.
Maruti Baleno
One of the best performing premium hatchbacks in the country, Maruti Baleno has come in at number four especially after being at the top for the last few months. Maruti saw a decline of about 5,000 units of the Baleno last month, as the premium hatchback achieved sales of only 16,384 units as against 21,217 units in March this year.
Maruti Dzire
Maruti’s sedan car Dzire has made it to the last number in the list of top 5 cars sold in India. The company has sold a total of 14,073 units of this car in April.
Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta SUV is at number six on the list. The Korean carmaker has been the best-seller in India since its launch in March last year. In April, Hyundai sold 12,463 units of the Creta SUV, against 12,640 units sold in the month of March.
Hyundai i10 Grand Nios
Hyundai i10 Grand Neos is at number seven in April with sales of 11,540 units. In March, Hyundai sold 11,020 units of the Grand i10.
Maruti Eeco
With 11,469 units sold last month, the Echo is placed at number eight. However, Maruti sold 11,547 eco cars in March.
Hyundai Venue
Hyundai sold 11,245 units of the Venue last month, which was just 25 units more than the Brezza. In the month of March, Hyundai sold 10,722 units of the sub-compact SUV.
Maruti Vitara Brezza
Finally on the list is Maruti’s sub-compact SUV, the Vitara Brezza. A slight drop in sales has brought it from the eighth position to the tenth position. In April, Maruti sold 11,220 units of Brezza, which was 11,274 units in March.
