South Korea car company Kia has released the teaser of its first dedicated electric vehicle EV6. The EV6 is the first dedicated battery electric vehicle (BEV) built on the company’s new EV platform (Electric-Global Modular Platform or E-GMP). Apart from this, EV6 has been developed as the company’s next generation BEV. Kiya says that EV6 is in line with its brand logo ‘Movement That Inspires’ and design philosophy.
According to the information given by the company, it will be premiered in the first quarter of 2021 this year. The company has adopted a new strategy to name its EVs so that customers can get information about Kia’s electric vehicles to see which vehicles are fully electric.
This is how EVs will be named
The company has adopted a new way to name its EV series. The company’s all-new dedicated BEV will be named EV. This will let customers know by name that such a car is completely electric. Apart from this, after the EV in the name of the vehicle, the number will be written according to the position of the car in the line-up, such as EV6 means that it is a fully electric vehicle and it is the sixth car in the company’s line-up.

30 million vehicles sold by Kia annually
