This SUV is currently the cheapest in India and has become expensive by up to Rs 33,000 within three months of its launch. Although Renault has not officially stated any reason behind the increase, there is a possibility that the global chip shortage may be the reason behind the decision to increase the price.
The Renault Kiger SUV was launched in India in February this year at an initial price of Rs 5.45 lakh. The price of its base variants RXE Energy MT and RXE Energy MT Dual Tone remains at Rs 5.45 lakh and Rs 5.65 lakh respectively, but the price of other variants has seen a price increase between Rs 3,000 to Rs 33,000.
