The Hyundai Alcazar has been introduced as a 7 seater variant with a slightly larger look than the Creta. So, ever since the vehicle was launched, it has continued to perform well in the market. Now it has left behind 6 vehicles.
Hyundai alcazar
The Hyundai Alcazar is a new offering in the premium 7 seater segment in the country. The car is facing competition from vehicles like MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari which come directly in their segment. That being said, there are many such vehicles in the price of Alcazar which are currently unable to compete with it. On the other hand, there are many such vehicles in Hyundai itself which are giving competition to Alcazar. Launched on June 18, the Hyundai Alcazar has beaten 6 products that come in its lineup.
We have come up with a list of the vehicles that Hyundai has left behind in just 13 days. All the vehicles in this are of Hyundai. Hyundai sold 3103 units of this premium 7-seater in the month of June. So let us know which are the vehicles in the list on which the new Hyundai Alcazar is overwhelming.
Hyundai Verna
Hyundai sold 2181 units of the Verna in June. The sedan is slowly losing its grip in the country due to the plethora of SUVs available in the market. The Hyundai Verna is undoubtedly a good sedan but the vehicle’s performance hasn’t been anything special. Also, the Verna price goes up to Rs 18.27 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). By increasing the budget a bit, the buyer gets a 7-seater SUV that gets more features as well as more powerful engine options.
Hyundai Tucson
The Hyundai Tucson is the most expensive car from the brand till date. However, the car despite being a premium 5-seater (with 4X4 available) fails to present a better value-for-money case for itself when compared to the Alcazar and other cars. Hyundai sold 85 units of the Tucson in June.
Hyundai Elantra
The Hyundai Elantra shares the same dilemma as the Hyundai Verna. The Alcazar gets similar engine options but is an all-rounder when it comes to value-for-money. Hyundai sold 29 units of the Elantra in June.
Kona Electric
When it comes to EVs, the Hyundai Kona Electric is the brand’s first foray in the country. However, due to some reasons, the Kona Electric has not been able to do magic for Hyundai. Firstly, the car comes with lesser features as compared to its competing cars as well as the Alcazar. Second, the car is a bit expensive and the customers do not get everything in it. Hyundai sold 7 units of Kona in the month of June.
Hyundai Santro
The Hyundai Santro is an entry-level hatchback from the company. However, the car fails to face stiff competition from brands like Maruti and Tata, who offer better VFM cases with their cars. Hyundai sold 2039 units of the Santro in the month of June.
