After the launch of the Hyundai Alcazar, it is being liked a lot. This vehicle is said to be the next version and bigger than the Creta. In such a situation, now the company has given another unique feature in it.
Hyundai alcazar
In March 2021, Apollo Tires launched a new range of tires called Aptera Cross. These tires were produced after a two-year long development phase at the company’s R&D center outside Chennai and were specially made for compact SUVs. In such a situation, now the Hyundai Alcazar has become the first SUV vehicle to get 18-inch tires in the standard equipment variants.
The Hyundai Alcazar was launched this month with a starting price of Rs 16.3 lakh (ex-showroom) and is a three row SUV that can comfortably seat 6 or 7 people. The Korean automaker is selling the Alcazar in three variants – Prestige, Platinum and Signature. Out of these, Prestige is the base model and comes with 17-inch tires but the other two come with 18-inch option.
Thus, all models of Alcazar which are either Platinum or Signature variants will come with Apterra Cross tires from Apollo as standard. This makes Alcazar the first vehicle to offer these tires as an OE fitment.
What’s so special about tires
According to the company, the Apterra Cross tires have been designed keeping in mind the driving (C) of SUV owners. This segment of the market has witnessed considerable growth over the years and almost every manufacturer has launched their own contender in this segment. Since most of the compact SUV buyers are city dwellers who have to deal with bad roads on a regular basis, Aptera Cross is built to handle these various situations well. The tread blocks on the tyre are designed in such a way that you can easily drive on any track. On the other hand, if you ride fast, you will not feel anything strange.
The tires are made in such a way that, you get a smooth ride even when the roads are rough. The tire also generates less noise and the twin steel belts inside make it puncture resistant. Apart from Alcazar, Apollo also sells 16 and 17 inch versions of Aptera Cross tires for vehicles like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonnet, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks, Kia Seltos and others.
