New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India may launch the CBR150R entry-level sportbike in the country. The company has applied for a patent for the motorcycle, which indicates that the bike may soon hit the country. When launched, the CBR150R will come across as a rival to the Yamaha R15 V4.
On the outside, the CBR150R sports a sharp and aerodynamic body panel. Its exterior design is inspired by the big CBR motorcycles in the company’s lineup. The front of the motorcycle gets dual LED headlamps and LED DRLs. Apart from this, other key features of this sports bike include a compact windscreen, sporty rear-view mirrors, low-set wide handlebar, fully digital instrument console, sculpted fuel tank, upswept exhaust and step-up seats. The bike also gets USD front forks in golden color which further enhances its sporty appeal.

Talking about the exterior color options, it is offered in a range of colors like Victory Black Red, Honda Racing Red, Dominator Matte Black, Candy Scintillate Red and MotoGP Edition. However, the features and colors of the model that will be launched in India may be different.
It sources power from a 149cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable of producing 16.09 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. For braking, the bike uses a single disc on both the sides, which is paired with ABS and emergency stop signals.
