The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has notified the rules for the recognized Driver Training Centers. High quality driving training and education will be provided to the candidates at these centres. In these, the successful candidate in the test will not have to take the driving test again while obtaining the driving license, they will be exempted from it.

The ministry said that these centers will have a driving test track with all facilities for training, so that high quality training will be made available to the candidates. The ministry said that ‘remedial’ and ‘refresher’ courses will be made available at these centers under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

The ministry has notified mandatory rules for recognized driver training centres. These rules will be applicable from July 1, 2021. Adequate training and information will be made available to the candidates enrolling at these centres. Candidates who successfully clear the examination to be held at these centers will not be required to take the driving test for driving license at the Regional Transport Offices (RTOs).

In this, only those driving training centers will be recognized which place, driving track. IT and Biometric systems and will meet the training requirements as per the prescribed syllabus. Once the certificate is issued by the training center, it will reach the concerned Motor Vehicle License Officer.
