EVC Global itself has given information about the installation of electric vehicle charging stations across the country. Certainly, the company will realize that the electric vehicle segment in India is booming and both the customers and the government are on the lookout for better charging infrastructure. Many players have already entered this segment and many startups are preparing to come in this direction.
In a statement to news agency PTI, Mohammad Afaq Khan, Founder, EVC Global, said, “We are looking to start our journey with a fast DC charging station for quick fueling service of vehicles with an angel funding of $1 million. Looking for.” He further added, “The target is to have one lakh EV chargers by 2028. EV Global Rapid Chargers are the most dynamic and have advanced features and are best suited for Indian weather and conditions.”
Another Delhi-based startup ElectriVa has also announced plans to set up and operate 100 electric vehicle charging stations in the capital, TOI reports.
The report cites an estimate that India will have around 20 lakh electric vehicles on the roads in the coming times and to charge them, India will need at least 4 lakh chargers by 2028.
EVC Global says it has around 34,000 EV charging stations listed on its app and will show the live status of stations within 20 km of a user’s location.
It is also reported that a DC fast charging station costs around Rs 6 lakh per unit and will reduce the charge time by several times as compared to normal chargers.<!–
