Back in January 2021, Tesla introduced a fresh version of the Model S and Model X, which includes a new powertrain, new interior and updated exterior design on two of Tesla’s major electric vehicles. The Electrek report states that while launching the new vehicles, Musk said that delivery would begin within a few weeks. Unfortunately, according to the report, the automaker could not do so.
During Tesla’s 2021 first quarter financial results release, the automaker noted that the first delivery of the new Model S should begin very soon and Musk said he believes it will be next month, which is now in May .
The CEO said that the delay is to ensure that the new battery pack in the updated Model S is going to be safe. The report said that the deliveries of the new Model S and Model X vehicles were also not scheduled in May.
