In the draft issued for National Electricity, some new provisions related to the model of tariffs for charging stations have been made. In this, the model of time of the day tariff will be adopted. Meaning, electricity rates for charging stations will be different in the morning, afternoon and evening on the same day.

According to CNBC-Awaaz report, it will be completely dependent on demand and supply. Electricity rates will be highest in peak hours. Charging an electric vehicle in the evening will be the most expensive. Electricity rates will be lower in the morning. So it can be economical for you.
Will rate up to regulator according to demand-supply
Regulators will decide the electricity rates based on demand and supply. Electricity rates may vary for public charging stations. Electricity rates may also be different for those installing private charging stations. At the same time, electricity rates will be different for those installing private charging stations. The tariff will be fixed according to the load.
Aggregators who set up public charging stations will be allowed to buy renewable energy from the open market. This does not make them dependent on discoms. This draft has been issued and the Ministry of Power has sought opinion from all the stakeholders and it will be implemented after that.
Charging stations will be installed in parking lots of malls, hospitals and hotels
Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot has asked malls, hospitals, hotels and offices etc. to have five percent of their parking space for electronic vehicles and their charging station, with a parking capacity of more than 100 vehicles. The Transport Minister said that the malls, hotels, hospitals and offices that the government has approached for this have been given time till December to implement this proposal.
At present, there are 72 electric vehicle charging stations in Delhi, which is the highest among all states. The Delhi government is planning to install 500 charging stations in the next 6 months. The government’s plan is to build an electric vehicle charging station every three kilometers.
