Bajaj Auto has registered a sales of 2,71,862 units with an increase of 114 percent in its total vehicle sales in the same month as compared to the month of May last year. Bajaj Auto said in a statement that the company had sold 1,27,128 vehicles in May last year. The company said that in terms of total domestic sales, 60,830 units i.e. a growth of 52 percent was registered this month as compared to 40,074 units sold in May 2020, while total exports increased by 142 percent in May 2021 as compared to 87,054 units in May 2020 , Became 11,032 units.
Total two-wheeler sales increased by 113 percent to 2,40,554 units in May 2021 from 1,12,798 units in the same month of 2020.
During the month of May, domestic two wheeler sales stood at 60,342 units, a growth of 54 percent as compared to 39,286 two wheelers sold in May last year, while exports grew by 145 percent to 180,212 units as against 73,512 units exported in May Were. Sales of commercial vehicles including exports stood at 31,308 units in May 2021, which is 118 percent higher as compared to 14,330 units in the same month of 2020.
Sale of MG Motor India falls
Apart from Bajaj Auto, MG Motor India’s sales figures have come to the fore in the month of May. The company said that in May 2021, their sales stood at 1,016 units, compared to 710 in the same month last year. The company said that its business was affected due to the lockdown imposed to prevent the second wave of corona virus.
Let me tell you that most of the companies in the second wave of Corona which got a boost in May, preferred to join COVID Support instead of their production and sales. Auto companies helped the medical field in many ways and Bajaj Auto was also involved in this. Bajaj had announced to provide financial assistance for two years to the families of its employees who died due to Corona and to bear medical expenses including education to the children.
