Vehicle dealers sought relief from government and RBI
Vehicle dealers have demanded fiscal support, including a three-month exemption from Goods and Services Tax (GST) payments, to survive commercially from the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to industry sources, the FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Association), a body of vehicles dealers, has written to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das, requesting immediate relief and made them aware of the difficulties being faced by the sector.
